Building awareness about a business takes many approaches and requires repeated attempts.
Think about press releases but also consider newsletters, web sites, blogs etc. that are distributed or accessible within your workplace, neighborhood or any appropriate social/civic groups in which you are active.
Trying to decide what you need to do to make people more aware of your business, interested in your business and willing to spend money at your business requires you to determine the following:
What is your main goal
Do you want to bring more people in, bring in people from a wider geographic area, build more customer loyalty and repeat business, attract new customers or ?
What are the best ways to accomplish those goals - purchase targetted advertising, build a data base and use it to update customers on new inventory, a special event or sale or offer a rewards program or create a promotional event or ?
Can you improve anything about your existing business that might be beneficial to sales?
Improve customer service? Offer more convenient operating hours? Host events that showcase new product lines, provide samples and demonstrations, offer tips and ideas on ways to use what your offer or ?
A native of North Carolina who spent the Wonder Years in Ohio, I have been in Florida for most of my life.
An all-too-brief, five-year foray took me to Berkeley, CA., the center of the universe and the source of all creativity, according to friends I met while there.
Returned to Florida to be closer to my family members (parents, brothers and others) - as well as water that I could actually swim in without a wet suit.
I have met, worked with and been friends with some truly amazing and admirable people. Everyone has a story and people are accomplishing great things every day. I just hope in some way I can live a life that is as meaningful and memorable.
